When is a name more than just a brand? When it reflects the traditions, heritage, and a sense of place and time for a family. The name Black and Glen reflects Neil’s deep Scottish heritage and familial roots, connecting his past with the modern brand.
The brand began on the east coast of Scotland. While stationed with the US Navy at Edzell Airbase, Neil’s father married his mother. Neil was born a spirited Scotsman in Montrose. Black recounts the story of Neil’s grandfather, who served with distinction in the Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland. Glen brings to mind the verdant glens of Scotland that stretch through the highlands. Neil is proud to call Scotland his birth place, and excited to bring elevated menswear and a glimpse of Scotland to Dunedin, FL.
About Us
-
After my military service and 35 years as a business consultant, I saw firsthand how great clothing can elevate confidence and connection.
When I moved to Dunedin three years ago, its charm and my Scottish roots made it feel like home. I also saw a gap—men needed a place for quality clothing and honest style advice, without pressure.
That’s why I started Black & Glen: to offer approachable style, thoughtful service, and pieces that help every man look and feel his best.
Stop by anytime—let’s talk style.

After 15 years in corporate HR, I found my passion in supporting local businesses and nonprofits. In 2010, I launched a consulting firm focused on building values-driven workplaces across the country.
With the freedom to live anywhere, I chose Dunedin—a town I’ve long admired—for its charm and community spirit. Now, I’m excited to bring that same people-first approach to our local scene, helping build spaces where both style and connection thrive.
